Oil Pulling Benefits

Want whiter, healthier teeth? Let me rephrase this: you NEED healthy white teeth.  White, healthy teeth not only look fantastic and very inviting; they are also healthy. In these modern times, The world believes that to have beautiful, healthy white teeth, we need to pay an arm and a leg for it. On top of all that, if you pick a teeth whitener, they give you harsh chemicals that basically strip, then cover your teeth with synthetics, only temporally making your teeth look good and APPEAR healthy. The fact is there are way better ways of doing this than modern cosmetics. There is a way that is not only incredibly good for your teeth but will make your teeth shine bright and white for all to see. Most of all, this way is 100% affordable. You have got to try it. The method I speak of, which is one dear to my heart and that I have used for years, is “oil pulling.”  I love oil pulling because my teeth have actually become whiter and healthier than they have ever been. You will still have to brush your teeth, so it doesn’t replace brushing, but it definitely helps clean your teeth in an astonishing and healthy way.

Oil pulling instructions

Take a spoon full of coconut oil and put it in your mouth, and chew till liquid. DO not swallow any of this oil during the seven minutes of your timed oil pull. Tip: try not to take too much on your spoon full because you’ll end up with a mouth that is too full of coconut oil. You don’t have to swish vigorously, but don’t let it just sits there either—give it a good swish. Oil pulling is when one swishes coconut oil in their mouth. (Try to get higher quality oils because they tend to work better.

Quality coconut oil works better than the cheaper stuff but is not a necessity). Do this for about 10-15 minutes without swallowing is sort of like using a mouth wash for a long period of time. What is nice about oil pulling is that you can do it in the morning, while reading or multi-tasking. Just make sure not to stop swishing while you focus on other tasks because, trust me, this happens. If you are a beginner, you should start with 7 minutes of swishing, then move up so you can properly perform this incredible natural remedy, which originated from India.

When you are done, swish with warm water. Swishing with warm water will dispose of the leftover bacteria and germs in your mouth. I usually swish twice to be sure there is nothing left.

I really wanted to share this with you because it’s a super cheap alternative that needs to be incorporated into your oral hygiene routine. I really hope you take up this wonderful practice because it has helped me and many others, and most of all, it will help you.
